$35.00

“When we rediscover our creativity, we also rediscover

ourselves and different parts of ourselves.”

Margarita Tartakovsky

Description

Self-expression through spontaneous artmaking creates a deeper sense of self-awareness, encourages our unique creativity, and helps to keep us in the “now”.

When engaged in this creative process the focus is not on the outcome, but rather the journey that unfolds along the way. In this workshop Jacqueline will guide participants on a journey of self-discovery as they explore a variety of mixed-media materials, images, inspiring quotes and canvas.

Participants will better learn how to practice self-compassion, presence, and connection to ourselves and others.

Participants will have an opportunity to get reacquainted with the artist within and leave with a unique piece of creative self-expression.

March 4th 2020

7:00pm to 9:00pm, $35

Refreshments provided, babies in arms are welcome

Creative Wellness

Jacqueline has firsthand experience with the healing effects and wellness benefits of an expressive arts practice.

“What started out as a collection of simple doodles, in order to self-calm, breathe, manage my anxiety and attempt to stay in the “now”, has become a daily practice of spontaneous artmaking.

Whether I am working on my art journal, experimenting with a variety of mixed-media materials, collaging, or mindfully drumming on the djembe, all these activities provide me with calm, joy, breath, and support a mindfulness practice.

My experiential journey into expressive arts has been an empowering process of self-discovery, self-love and healing.”
